Bdays

This pic is of Meredith and Lezlie, two ladies I work with. They had bdays in May and we decorated their offices. They each got to wear the bday crown.

Then when it was my bday my desk got decorated too and I got the bday crown.

I got a manicure and pedicure for my bday. Love being pampered.

I chose my bday dinner to be at Zorba's a Greek food restuarant. It was great. Alina and Jason went with us.

San Antonio Here We Come

We got to go to San Antonio for Memorial Day weekend. Chris lived there when he was younger and I hadn't been there since high school. Our friends Jason and Alina were there as well. So we got to hang out. We went to the Tower of Americas, went to the zoo, went to the Alamo and just did some site seeing. It was a great weekend trip.

Thought this was funny. The rice came out in a pyramid.

We went looking for some breakfast the first morning we were in San Antonio and a tour guide lady told us about this great breakfast joint. Very hole-in-the-wall and run by these funny dudes. It was great food though. We had breakfast there all three days we were there.
This is the view from our hotel room.

We were over-looking the Alamo.

New Furniture....This Pic Is For You Carla :)

Hurray for us. We got a new couch finally. Our old one was great for awhile but it definitely got used and worn down. We have wanted a new couch for a long time and we found this great one. It looks small in this picture but it's actually pretty big. The pillows that came with it really aren't us but we are using them until we can find some others.

Easter 09

So this year was the first year since my birth 28yrs ago that I have not spent Easter with my family. I was pretty bummed because you just don't not spend holidays with family. You miss traditions like waking up and finding my Easter basket in the living room somewhere and then competing with my brothers, mainly Zane, on who can find the most easter eggs in the house. Yes my mom still hides easter eggs for us and we get to hunt them and I usually beat Zane by finding the most. Traditions people, they never end even when you get older. So Chris was so sweet to put together a basket for me and fill it with fun stuff. He also filled a whole bag of plastic eggs with candy and hide them around our apartment, all after I fell asleep the night before Easter. We had our own hunt. What a husband.

Looking Back.....

This is the weekend that Chris and I met at Bonita Park, December 29th, 2002. We stayed up until 3pm one of the nights around a campfire that wasn't even hot with Leora and Kyle and this was the pic from that. It was snowy outside and freezing. But we liked each other so much from the beginning that it didn't matter.
Carla and I that same weekend. We were celebrating the New Year. Oh we were so young.
I don't remember when this picture was if it was during the Christmas break or one of the summers at BP but I thought it fit with the theme of this post...looking back. Me and Melissa Weaver.
Chris and I were in a long distance relationship for the first 5 months we were together. So I got to see him during my spring break when I went to Texarkana. We went to the lake and we made this heart in the sand.
We also had dinner at Sonia and Vance's house and that's where this picture was. I sent this pic to Chris later with this note attached.

I don't know when we took this picture but I know it was sometime towards the beginning of Chris and Kylee so it made it in. Look at that goatee on Chris.

This is one of the times Chris came to visit me at college in Las Cruces and he lived at BP. He brought me a little kitty that turned out to be a little evil. I would get scared at night when I went to bed because it would jump up on the bed and run at my face and claw. Chris had some other incidents happen when it was his turn to keep the kitty. Stories he'll have to tell you in person when you get the chance. Needless to say that kitty is long gone. Actually we gave it to my friend Kesha, she had it fixed and that cat is awesome. So all turned out well. First year we were married we worked at BP and Chris was embracing the mountain living. He decided to grow his hair out. I think we liked it at first then it was too much.
This was me in my daily uniform at BP. Nametag and all. Good times....good times. This was a great place to start our marriage.
I think this was maybe our first Easter together as a married couple. I'm not sure. But I do remember this sweater. It's one I ordered from American Eagle. I never order clothes online. I did for this sweater because I loved it. After we got married Chris did the laundry and shrunk this sweater so small it would fit a really small child. Bummer for the cool sweater.

Zoo with the Davis'

Carla and Nik came to visit us as their first stop of their vacation, Adventure TOKMA (Texas, Oaklahoma, Kansas, I forgot what M stands for, and Arkansas). You have to have a name for your trip. Good times. I'm not sure why Chris and Nik have a weird look on their faces. Maybe they were suspicious of our train ride we were taking. Who knows. This is me showing off the Ft Worth zoo map. Just thought it would be fun.
I think this picture is cute. What a couple right?

Carla and I just being us.

Gotta have a group pic.

Random Pics

No this is not our baby. This is Major. He belongs to our friends Chris and Mara. He's almost one year old. This picture was taken a while ago but as you have seen, I haven't posted any pics since Christmas. Don't worry...I think I will get better.
These next pics are just of me and Chris so you don't forget what we look like. These are the faces you get to miss out on not living in the same place as us.

Christmas Day 2008

Me and Mom Christmas morning. This was 1 out of many pics. She kept closing her eyes. Finally a good one.

Zane and Kara. Typical Zane face in pictures. He can never look normal.

Zach and Rachel.

The pups, Jenna and Jasmine, 1 yr later. You can check out the pics from last year's Christmas on this blog and see how much they've grown.

Rachel and Coda. Such a sweet puppy. Always likes to cuddle.

Me and Christopher. He can't have a normal face in pictures these days.

Zach and Mom posing for scary cooking pictures. She was making his birthday chocolate pie. He celebrated his 29th birthday, Dec 25th.

Us taking our usual Christmas afternoon nap. Good stuff.

Christmas Eve 2008 and Traditions

We are all about the traditions for the Christmas holiday. So we went to our annual Christmas Eve party at the Kunko's house. Such a beautiful house and wonderful people. Makes it feel like Christmas. So we always have to get our picture in front of the tree.

Me and Rachel, Zach's girlfriend. Can you tell who's from California? Yep I didn't know I was so ghost-like. :)
Me, Kara (Zane's Fiance), and Mommy Klemo

Zach and Rachel. Zane and Rob always play some Christmas tunes on their guitar at this party and Zach joined them. I don't know why I don't have a pic of Zane and Rob. Maybe it will pop up later.

Me and Zacharoo.

Zach and Rachel......again.

Mom and Nancy Stowe.

We went over to the Humphrey's house to say hello and chat. And to take a photo of the group. This is me and Rob saying, "Come on...we are ready to take the pic." And I'm also saying, "I have to have a fireplace in my next residence." So warm and cozy.

And here's all the gang. From bottom, left to right. Kara, Rachel, Mommy Klemo, Me, Melanie (JT's fiance), Katy. Back to the left. Rob, Zane, Zach, Chris, JT, and Jimmy. These are memories frozen in time people!

We always go looking at lights on Christmas Eve so here are Zach and Rachel in front of this house that had so many lights and other gadgets in their yard that it was like a Winter Wonderland.

We always open one present on Christmas Eve before we go to bed. So this is us documenting the giving of the first one. More to come on why Zach and Zane are wearing a funky sweater and turtleneck.

Trip to Las Cruces Over Christmas

We went to NM for the Christmas holiday and one of those days we got to go to Las Cruces and visit with some friends. We had lunch with Regina and Ruben but I forgot to get a pic. We got to eat at one of our favorite restuarants there, Lorenzo's. Yummy. This pic is of the mountains going into Las Cruces. Chris used this new program to give it a little more color because NM is looking very brown and dry as always.

We also got to see Justin, Desi, and their new baby boy, Caden. What a cute kid.

Winter Stuff

These are the people that Chris works with day in and day out. Jenna, Amanda, and Curtis. This is before their work Christmas party.

It was pretty cold the week before Christmas. The fountain in front of Chris' work froze. No snow though. Just ice. Bummer.

Fun with the Gang

Our friends Nik and Carla came to visit for a day and our other friend Chris had a bday party. So we all got together.
Chris and Mara's son Major. A Cowboy fan from birth.

Nik and Carla
Me and Mr. Christopher

The Deramcy Family.

Secondhand Serenade

Being in the city we've gotten to go to a few concerts and we went to the House of Blues to see Secondhand Serenade. We went with Alina. Her husband Jason was supposed to go but had to do work stuff out of town. Bummer, but we had a good time. It decided to sleet and snow for the few minutes we were running from the parking lot to the building. Then it quit. It was crazy, but fun.

Oh I Forgot

I wanted to post some pics of my boss, Scott's, bday. I put together a small party to have after our staff meeting but I made the balloon hat for him to wear at our staff meeting and during the party.
He loved it.
We all wore black to celebrate his day. 45, getting up there.

It was a good little party. Birthdays need to be celebrated. They are wonderful.

Where's Chris?

I need to take more pictures WITH Chris. He's no where to be found. I'll work on that for the next post.

Pumpkin Time

We went to our first pumpkin patch ever. We went with our friends Alina and Jason. Fun times.
Even though they had big pumpkins I wanted the baby ones. Jason is really tall and he didn't even measure on the height scale.
The friendly goats. They gave us stuff to feed all the animals.
Longhorns? These horns don't look that long. A goat bridge. Apparently the longest one in Colin County. I don't know.
Hay ride. All sorts of fun.

The rest of the Weekend

My mom's babies. Jenna and Jasmine. Most of the time they are cute. Unless they are doing something mischevious.
Chris likes to take pictures of me doing random stuff. Like holding bacon.
Me and Zaney.
We got to see our friends Kesha and Matt Miles. They are expecting a baby next year. So exciting.
We went to Cattle Baron to get some grub the day after the engagement. Such a funny picture. Posed for sure. They are both so excited.

Outside mom's house. Saying goodbye.

Fun Stuff in Roswell

Chris and I went back to Roswell to celebrate my mom's and Zane's bdays. We also went back to celebrate Zane and Kara getting engaged. So yeah, she said yes. We had a bday/engagement party. Fun stuff.
Mr. Holcomb, Jeff, Zane and Lobo. Zane's future brother in laws and father in law.
The guys and Moses (the cat)
Zane and my mom blowing out their candles. Zane's 21 and mom is.......52. She doesn't care that people know her age. Every year is an accomplishment. :)
Zane relaxing and taking in the night. Single no more.
Chris just being Chris.
The party balloons. (I don't know, Chris was just taking pictures. )
All the guys who were at the party.
Kara, her mom and sisters.

Zane, Kara, and Moses. Cool cat.

It was a fun night.

The Infamous SCOOTY

So we decided to sell the Hyundai to buy a scooter. And we named it Scooty. I mean, really, you can't give it a tough name. You just have to give it a name that suits. So Scooty is it's name. My idea, definitely not Chris'. Since we don't live that far from Chris' work and we don't really need a second car right now, we got this scooter. Chris is loving it. We've gotten him a helmet and a jacket. It's getting colder now but he doesn't mind the cold. If it's really bad outside then we share the Passat. Since we live and work so close it's not a problem.
I'm still a little nervous on Scooty but I'm getting better. My experience is driving it around our parking lot. I'm not ready to go out on the open road. Scary.
But I did get a cute helmet. If I have to wear one, it's going to be cute.

Random pics

Chris and Major, a little older this time
What a face, right? He still doesn't know what's going on. But he's starting to have expressions. Smiling now.
The proud mom covering up spit up on her shirt. The joys of being a mommy.
Kylee in the morning. Getting ready for work. Listening to the IPOD. Gotta get the juices flowing. My favorite color......pink.

Family Stuff

Chris and his mom at their house in Texarkana.

Chris, Debbie, and David
Ok, Chris' dad kept talking about how the grass needed mowed and I was like, I'll mow it especially if it's a riding lawn mower. Who wouldn't jump at the chance to ride a lawn mower for the first time, right? It was successful. I made the lines pretty straight and I didn't run into anything. And I'm proudly sporting my alien tee I bought in Roswell.

Just a few pics of our apartment

View from our balcony. We want to make this a cool balcony with some lights, a nice little table to have meals at. Maybe soon.
Part of our living room/office area. Thank you IKEA for our apartment furniture. :) Apartment living is so fun. It's kindof cozy not having much space.
Kitchen/Dining room. I painted a few walls. It makes it not so apartment like. More homey.
Bathroom. I love these colors.

Major Ray Deramcy has arrived!

Our friends, Chris and Mara Deramcy had their little boy, August 27th. Chris was at the hospital most of the day and got to hold little Major soon after he was born.
He got a little excited. This is the second baby he's held in his life. A little scary.
The proud Dad, Uncle Chris, and Baby Major.
Me and the baby. No baby fever yet, if anyone was wondering.

Summer Pics

I got to visit with Diane a little here in McKinney, before she moved on to Kansas with Rusty. Wow, we look really bright in this photo. I guess the flash was really bright that day. And we were glistening with sweat. So hot that day. Chris' family came to visit us and we had to go to Steak N Shake. Yummy stuff. And Chris had to wear one of their funky hats.
Debbie (Chris' mom) and Caden (addition to the Kim's household, Kim (Chris' sister)) Crazy cute kid.

Trip to Temple, TX

We took a trip to Temple to check out Carla and Nik's new place. We got to see their new home, their church, and the town. I know I have some other pics I just can't find them right now. So we'll start with these. The first one is at a Greek food restuarant. It was really good. The next ones are at Starbucks. Gotta stop for caffeine.
